A mix-and-match vaccine regimen is permissible for international travelers entering the U.S., according to updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance. Restrictions on international travelers will be lifted Nov. 8 for those who can show proof of full vaccination prior to boarding a flight to the U.S. CDC clarified that for the purposes of interpretation of vaccination records, “fully vaccinated” is defined as having “received any single dose of [a Food and Drug Administration] approved/authorized or [World Health Organization emergency use listing] approved single-dose series (i.e., Janssen), or any combination of two doses of an FDA approved/authorized or WHO emergency use listed COVID-19 two-dose series.”
