$7 billion hedge fund WorldQuant is bringing on the former top quant at Goldman to help create the ‘future of quantitative investing’

 

Former Goldman partner Gary Chropuvka will become the president of WorldQuant later this year, the $7 billion quant fund said. Chropuvka was the head of Goldman’s massive Quantitative Investment Strategies team that has been rebuilt since it was decimated in 2007’s “Quant Quake.” WorldQuant’s founder Igor Tulchinsky said that Chropuvka will help the firm “create the future of quantitative investing.” Visit Business Insider’s homepage for more stories.
