Intel Acquires Rivet, Maker of Killer Wi-Fi

Rivet’s premium Killer Networking brand has long been a weapon of choice for PC gamers, and the acquisition comes as many Americans are stuck at home and looking for ways to deal with overloaded Wi-Fi networks.

Killer Networking, a staple of upgraded wireless and wired connectivity on high-end gaming PCs, is poised to go mainstream thanks to Intel’s acquisition on Wednesday of Killer’s parent company, Rivet Networks.
