New York City has been the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the US — at least 50,000 New Yorkers have been hospitalized. Since March 1, the city has reported nearly 200,000 cases and more than 16,000 deaths. A new study offers insight into what happens to critically ill coronavirus patients.
