Safely Re-Opening America’s Health Care System and Resuming Needed Procedures and Treatments, Routine Care, and Preventive Services

Early in the Coronavirus crisis, health insurance providers expressed our commitment to help the health care system meet the challenges from COVID-19. That commitment included working with America’s front-line health care heroes to build capacity, address supply challenges, simplify processes, and strongly support expansive federal funding.  Health insurance providers also took decisive actions to waive patient costs for COVID-19 testing and treatment and to eliminate administrative requirements related to COVID-19.
